Dr Gregory Butler

Dr Butler studied Medicine at the University of Queensland, and graduated with First Class Honours.  He completed dermatology specialist training in Queensland at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital, as well as in the United Kingdom.

 

Dr Butler attained Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, and was recipient of the Travelling Fellowship for overall achievement, and co-recipient of the Founders Medal for Procedural Dermatology.

Dr Butler has undertaken post-graduate research in skin cancer and was admitted to the degree of Master of Philosophy (Medical Science). He has published in international peer-reviewed journals and presented t dermatology meetings in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

 

Dr Butler is a visiting dermatologist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he supervises a general dermatology clinic. He is also involved in the care of admitted patients. Dr Butler is a senior clinical lecturer with University of Queensland and is actively involved in dermatology specialist training. He contributes as a reviewer, and has previously been an editor, for the internationally recognized Australasian Journal of Dermatology. Dr Butler has also served as Chair of the Queensland Faculty of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
